Slugfest Rules

Slugfest Tournament Rules

 

-Teams are guaranteed 3 games

-Entry Fee is $200 plus $10 for game official per game

-We will contact you in case of inclement weather

-Players must be 8 or younger by May 1^st 2022

-Players must be from the same school district

-If proof is not provided at request regarding age/school district, money is refunded, and the team forfeits all games they played in (Score 10-0)

-Home team is the OFFICIAL score book.  Both teams are advised to keep book.

-5 pitches to each batter

-If final pitch is fouled off, it doesn’t count

-All players may bat

-You do not have to report position changes

-All late or new players must be added to end of the batting order

-A player may be skipped in batting order due to an injury without incurring an out (Umpires must approve this)

-1 adult permitted in the outfield when on defense

-5-run rule per inning

-10 run rule last inning

-Extra innings 5-run rule

If a game is not winnable due to run-rule, umpires reserve the right to stop the game

-KEEP GAMES MOVING!  Coaches help your catchers with equipment

-If the batter hits the ball & it hits the adult coach, it is a “dead” ball; pitch over

-There is no line in front of home plate that the ball must cross

-Normal Baseball Rules

-No Infield fly rule

-Tie Breaker:  Head to Head, then fewest runs allowed in your pool

-Games may start early.  Please be on time!

-Coaches please explain rules to parents.  This will help avoid arguments & keep the game moving

-Coaches are responsible for their teams behavior!  Lead by example!
