OABGC Presidents Day Tournament Rules
OABGC Presidents Day Shootout Rules
- Games will consist of two fifteen minute halves.
- Continuous Clock until the last two minutes of each half. Clock will stop for all whistles in the last two minutes of each half.
- Overtime will consist of 2 minutes with the clock stopping only on whistles. Halftimes will be 3 minutes.
- Any defense is permitted the entire game for the 5th & 6th grades (no press if up by 15 or more points). 3rd & 4th grade is man to man and will not be able to press until the second half of games.
- Teams are given 3 timeouts for the whole game.
- If you are not allowed to press and you do you will be given one warning and then a technical foul will be assessed each time thereafter. Once a team has gained possession on a rebound the other team must get back on defense and must allow the other team to cross half court.
- If a team is up by more than 15 points the clock becomes continuous. If the score goes under 15 point difference then the clock will go back to regular.
- Tie-breakers will be as follows
- Head to Head
- Point Differential (+15 max each game)
- Fewest points given up
- Forfeits will result in a point differential based on average of games played
- Coin Flip
- 28.5 size basketball will be used for all games
- The 3rd & 4th grade girls teams may shoot from a shorter foul line.
- The tournament director has the right to change or modify these rules at any time and under any circumstances
- All other rules are as listed by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
- Any player, coach, or spectator using profanity will be ejected from the tournament and the facility
